Living in 2009

It is hard to believe, but 2009 is upon us, and is nearly 1/12 over...my how time flies. We are all living life and trying to make the most out of every day. Jake and Connor informed me that Monday, February 2nd, marks the 100th day of school this year. Both boys are enjoying this year at Meadowlark and are excited for the start of baseball this spring.

As for me, I am having a great first year at Arrowhead School, and enjoying the adjustment. I assured Tonya at the beginning of the year that my involvement would be minimal at best. I told her that this year would be a year of, "careful observation...from the outside." Not so. I have become involved with a number of things at our school, and enjoy the community involvement.

Tonya and I love our family, and are working diligently at putting one another before anything else, with the exception of our time with God. After almost 14 years of marriage, we are just now learning the true joys of our relationship, and are excited to see how God will grow us this next year.

God has been working in my life professionally as well. Starting December 1st, I was hired by Hope Church as the part time Pastor of Leadership. While this is supposed to be a part time job, I find myself thinking about and working on "church stuff" often. I love the job, and am trusting that God will reveal to me His will for my future.

This is my first 'Blog post' so I am going to stop for now...hopefully we will be able to keep this thing going!
